While other NBA teams thrive on continuity, in the past four years, the New Orleans Pelicans have gone through extreme offseason and midseason changes every year. As a result of this ever-changing roster, the New Orleans Pelicans have gone through their series of starting lineups. Last year, the Pelicans rostered eight players who started at least ten games in the navy and gold. In 2016-2017, they rostered eleven. In 2015-2016, they rostered twelve. And in 2014-2015, they rostered eight.

And so once again, it is time to theorize who the Pelicans will start, with their only guarantees being Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday.

Outside of the dynamic duo, Solomon Hill, E’Twaun Moore and Elfrid Payton should all be fighting for wing spots, while one of Nikola Mirotic or Julius Randle will start at power forward.

That gives the Pelicans six possible starting lineups, all with pros and cons. In this article, I will attempt to rank the possible lineups, while providing insight as to how they will play.
