Dark Horse #1: Chicago Bulls

Right off the bat, let me explain that Jabari Parker is only included here to get the money to match up. Parker has totally fallen out of grace in the NBA and won’t be worth much of anything to the Pelicans, who would simply let him walk after the year ends.

The trade here is really for Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr., two young guys that you can build your frontcourt around. Both have awesome potential, and paired with the Bulls’ draft pick this year (which more likely than not will be a Top 5 pick), there might be something here worth exploring. Chicago would be able to pair Davis with Zach LaVine and see what happens, with the hope that they could convince him to re-sign in free agency.
