#11. Los Angeles Lakers: Romeo Langford, G

School: Indiana | Class: Freshman | Height: 6’6″ | Weight: 202 | Age: 19

Before this season started, no one expected the Los Angeles Lakers would end up with a lottery pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Teams led by LeBron James are always expected to make the postseason, and anything else is a massive failure.

Well, the Lakers failed hard this year, and they need help. Romeo Langford could bring some excitement back to Hollywood for the purple and gold. He’s one of the bigger names that will still be on the table when LA gets to make their selection, which could cause the Lakers to take a hard look at him since they always seem to go after the popular players.

Langford is pretty much horrible from distance for a guard. He shot a dismal 27% behind the three point line, so Los Angeles would not rely on him for his jumpshot. Still, Romeo was able to put up 16 and a half points per game in his lone season with the Indiana Hoosiers, which just goes to show his impressive ability to create his own shot despite most of his points coming inside the three point line.

The Hoosiers were a big disappointment this season and didn’t even make the NCAA tournament this year, which raises some more red flags in regards to Romeo Langford. Still, outside of the Top 10, teams will start to gamble a bit and bet on upside instead of proven assets in some cases, so Romeo Langford could be a great candidate to join LeBron in the West.
