#16. Orlando Magic: Nickeil Alexander-Walker, G

School: Virginia Tech | Class: Sophomore | Height: 6’5″ | Weight: 210 | Age: 20

The Orlando Magic are overloaded with talent in their frontcourt. The team already had athletic freak Aaron Gordon and now-all-star Nikola Vucevic on their roster before adding Jonathan Isaac and Mo Bamba to the team in recent years. Vucevic is a free agent this summer, but there’s no reason to believe the Magic won’t do anything it takes to keep Niko in Disneyworld.

Because of this log jam at forward and center, it would make sense if Orlando goes with a guard in the first round of this NBA Draft. From the likely choices that will be around, Nickeil Aleander-Walker has a shot to be the best backcourt member available when the Magic are on the clock.

Orlando will likely keep utilizing DJ Augustin as their starting point guard, but Alexander-Walker could be a nice shooting guard next to him in lineup. Don’t forget, however, that former 76er and #1 overall pick Markelle Fultz is now on the Magic as well. Alexander-Walker might have to fight Fultz for the better position on the depth chart if Fultz is ever able to return to form, but he’s still an interesting name for the Magic to consider here.
