#26. Cleveland Cavaliers (Via Houston Rockets): Talen Horton-Tucker, F

School: Iowa State | Class: Freshman | Height: 6’4″ | Weight: 233 | Age: 18

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team that pretty much just needs help everywhere, so this late in the first round, they’ll just be looking for the best overall available talent still on the board.

At just 18 years old, Talen Horton-Tucker from Iowa State University has room to grow into a threat in the NBA. He’s just 6’4″ but is actually typically thought of as a forward instead of a guard thanks to his strong, hefty frame. He could be a guy that Cleveland uses to create mismatches if they run him as a shooting guard off the bench, or he could hold his own against some taller forwards if necessary as well.

Horton-Tucker was one of the most impressive players to enter his conference this season as he found himself on the Big 12 All-Freshman team when his only year of college basketball was said and done.

For the Cavs, they just need someone they can count on to come into a game and have a positive overall impact. Talen Horton-Tucker could be that guy as the team continues to rebuild around Collin Sexton and whichever other young potential star they select with their likely Top 3 pick earlier in this 2019 NBA Draft.
