2019 NBA Draft: Full Mock Draft 1.0 – Pelicans take 3-and-D wing
#4. Chicago Bulls: Jarrett Culver, G
School: Texas Tech | Class: Sophomore | Height: 6’6″ | Weight: 195 | Age: 20
Don’t look now, but the Chicago Bulls have quietly built themselves into one of the most intriguing rebuilding teams in the NBA. They are brimming with potential talent with players like Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., and Zach Lavine. Add Jarrett Culver to this young core, unwisely look away for a year or two, and you’ve got a dangerous team on your hands.
Fresh off of an appearance in the NCAA championship game, Culver is ready to take his game to the big leagues. He’s a serious scoring threat and has the skills and body size to create a matchup nightmare for opposing guards. The Bulls’ backcourt of Kris Dunn and Zach Lavine is already solid, but adding Culver to the mix just makes them that much more dynamic.
Like Ja Morant, Jarrett Culver has had a second year of college to sharpen his skills and get more NBA ready, which would likely lead to a smoother transition to the pros than some of the other names in the first round.
The Bulls are already beginning to trend in the right direction, and Jarrett Culver would do nothing but help speed along that process.
