#25. Portland Trail Blazers: Isaiah Roby, F

School: Nebraska | Class: Junior | Height: 6’8″ | Weight: 230 | Age: 21

The Portland Trail Blazers clearly have a Top 3 backcourt tandem in the entire NBA with their awesome duo of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. They’ve got a pretty crowded frontcourt comprised of Jusuf Nurkic, Enes Kanter, Zach Collins, and Meyers Leonard depending on who all is still on the roster next season and if everyone can get healthy. Portland is even fairly deep on the wings as well.

This is the issue as you fall later into the first round as teams that are already very well established look for guys they can use to fill a need off the bench or send to the G-League for further development.

Despite the Blazers already having a pretty solid lineup, a hard worker like Isaiah Roby could still carve out a niche for himself in the Pacific Northwest. He’s shown an ability to put up points from several spots on the floor, and he’s proven capable of being an adequate rebounder and shot blocker during his time in Nebraska as well. The numbers don’t exactly jump off the page when you look at Roby’s stats, but he still can make a name for himself at the next level as a solid role player if things go according to plan.
