A big Pelicans rumor from this season started when Anthony Davis mentioned over the All-Star Break in February that all 29 other teams in the league were possible desired destinations. Which teams simply don’t have enough to offer the New Orleans Pelicans?

As we enter the offseason, Pelicans rumors are going to continue to fly as new Executive VP of Basketball Operations David Griffin fields offers from anyone and everyone regarding the availability of Anthony Davis. The New Orleans Pelicans will be very selective during this process in order to make sure whatever trade haul they get back for AD is good enough to set them up for years to come.

Every single team in the NBA wants Anthony Davis. He’s the type of talent that most teams in the league can only dream about having on their rosters. Truly, he is a generational-type talent at the power forward position that has a chance to be considered one of the all-time greats once his career comes to a close.

A guy like this will be in high demand, but not all trade offers are created equally. We’ve all discussed to death where we think Anthony Davis could be shipped off to, but the truth is, no one really knows. A dark horse suitor could come out of nowhere and throw down a proposed deal that no one is expecting and win the AD Sweepstakes.

Whatever happens, there are a handful of teams that simply don’t have the right players or assets to get the job done. Just to help narrow the list down from 29, let’s go ahead and rule out a few teams.
