#3 Los Angeles Clippers

As the new kings of Los Angeles, the Clippers had a great season and surprised many by making a competitive first round playoff effort against the Golden State Warriors despite trading away Tobias Harris, their best player, to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the season.

Many scratched their heads at the Harris trade, but what it did was set the Clippers up for a potentially enormous summer in 2019. They stockpiled tons of valuable draft assets and now own a slew of first round picks they could package together, including a very enticing future first round selection from the Miami Heat.

In addition to this, the Clippers could ship a player like Danilo Gallinari elsewhere and free enough enough cap space to sign or trade for two max-level players this summer. The speculation is that the team will go hard after Kawhi Leonard, so making a trade offer to secure AD to play with Kawhi could definitely be on the table as well.

Along with their awesome draft capital, the Clippers could send over 20 year old point guard of the future Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in order to win over the Pelicans, and possibly 25 year old Montrezl Harrell, who improved a lot this season.

The rumor was that AD wanted to get to Los Angeles to become a Laker, but it’s actually the Clippers with the brighter future and better trade package that could ultimately win him over.
