The organization has made significant personnel changes, informing players of the team that they are serious about future success. That has not made Anthony Davis budge. They won the NBA Draft lottery, still, nothing.

Here’s what we know about Davis. He’s a franchise-altering talent, he’s capable of putting stats that are comparable to NBA legends before him, and he’s one of the greatest power forwards of all-time entering his prime. Here’s the primary issue: he does not want to be a New Orleans Pelican.

It’s tough to see a player of his magnitude leave, there’s still that glimmer of hope he changes his mind. What a dynamic duo he would be with Zion Williamson. You can envision the highlight reel now. But, that’s not the reality for this team.
