According to more New Orleans Pelicans rumors, the team is already looking at second round NBA Draft targets. Today, we’ll look at two more; a wing from Nevada and a guard from Syracuse.
Over the last few days, we’ve examined the possibilities of drafting SEC players Aric Holman and Jared Harper and what they could bring to the New Orleans Pelicans’ table. We’ve also looked at a couple of guys from the Big XII in Dedric Lawson and Lindell Wigginton that could bring some good things to the locker room as well. According to Pelicans rumors, there are a couple more guys the team could be looking to add via the NBA Draft that we’ve yet to talk about.
The rumored targets so far are as follows:

Dedric Lawson, Wing (Kansas)
Tyus Battle, Guard (Syracuse)
Cody Martin, Forward (Nevada)
Jared Harper, Guard (Auburn)
Aric Holman, Forward (Mississipi State)
Lindell Wigginton, Guard (Iowa State)#DoItBig
From this list, the final two players we are going to look at are Syracuse guard Tyus Battle and Nevada forward Cody Martin. As we have stressed about the prospects we’ve discussed so far, key contributions and adequate role players are what the New Orleans Pelicans are after with these players.
We haven’t had many bigs to discuss, because nothing is definitive on Anthony Davis’ status with the team, so to this point, New Orleans isn’t linked to any low-post guys. Plus, Zion Williamson will possibly fill the 4 spot if we lose Anthony Davis and Julius Randle. As we inch closer day by day to the draft, let’s look at the final two prospects who the Pelicans could be taking an early interest in.
