Darius Miller has had quite an interesting career with the Pelicans, but in the past few seasons, he’s seemed to find his way in the rotation. Miller was drafted No. 46 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Pelicans and has remained on their roster, more or less, since then.

Miller played in 52 games, though sparingly as a rookie, averaging 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 39.3 percent from 3-point land. He appeared in 45 games the next season, putting up 4.4 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest.

In his third season, his playing time went down to just a total of five games, showing he needed more development. He didn’t play in the NBA from 2015 to 2017, but when he returned, he returned a better player.

During the 2017-18 NBA season, he shot 41.1 percent from behind the arc, while producing 7.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest through 82 appearances. His 147 made 3-pointers ranks fourth on the team’s all-time franchise list of 3-pointers made in a season.

In 2018-19, he put up a career-high 8.2 points per game on 36.5 percent shooting from 3-point land. He still averaged 1.9 makes from behind the arc, but he made fewer attempts than in the year prior with 133.

With 327 made 3-pointers, Miller currently ranks ninth in franchise history behind some future of Hall of Famers. It’s quite the company to be in considering the journey he’s been on.
