Bradley Beal: Washington Wizards, Guard

The Washington Wizards have been a hot mess recently. Between devastating injuries to players like John Wall and a lot of rumored turmoil in the locker room, many believe it’s time for this roster to be broken up. Wall is likely to miss most, if not all, of the 2019-2020 season as well, so there’s no point in trying to be super competitive in the immediate future.

Because of this, it’s possible that Bradley Beal might be more available than ever before. An All-Star the last two season, Beal fills David Griffin’s desire to return a star player in any Anthony Davis trade package. While Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball have the potential to be great, Beal is already one of the best shooting guards in the NBA.

Beal has averaged more than 20 points in each of the last three seasons. The dude can just flat out get buckets. He’s shot over 40% from range three times, with his career average leveling out around 38%. The New Orleans Pelicans finished 24th in the league in three point percentage this past season, so adding a talent like Beal’s would ensure the team’s spacing is better for Zion.

The #4 pick alone for Beal likely wouldn’t be enough, but pairing Lonzo Ball along with the pick probably could get it done. It would be a steep price to pay, but Beal really is that type of guy.

We’re not out of the woods yet in the Anthony Davis saga. While this earthquake of a deal is finally happening, there will be shockwaves over the next few days that will continue to shape the New Orleans Pelicans into a completely different team.
