NAW’s run of terror continues

The main thing about Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s play thus far in the Summer League has been his level of confidence/comfort on the court. He looks like a second-year pro out there, he’s fluid and in control of the pacing, it looks like he’s been here before—and that’s super impressive.

He makes good decisions in pick and roll action, has no issues finding the roller or can use it to drive and kick out to open shooters along the perimeter. He can create for himself using his deceptive first step and crafty ability finishing with either hand and isn’t afraid to step into a rhythm jumper.

No breakdown of this game is complete without showcasing his nasty scoop layup through traffic.

There are certain aspects of his game that needs refining, at times he can be nonchalant passing the ball (also could be due to the leads the Pels accumulate and the rook just having fun), and getting caught in the air on drives as often as he does could prove detrimental at the next level.

But for now, let’s just enjoy the show.
