Pelicans Blitzkrieg overpowers Cavs

As mentioned before, the Pelicans came out hot out the gates for the second time in a row, outscoring the Cavaliers by 16 in the opening quarter.

This team swarms on the defensive end, blocking shots, getting steals and running out in transition and can straight up score in bunches in a short period of time. With just under a minute to go in the first frame the Pelicans jumped out to a 26-8 lead, and from there it was essentially already over.

New Orleans registered 10 steals against the Cavaliers Wednesday night and held them to just 25-69 shooting (36.2 percent); only two of their starters finished in double digits in scoring.

Just like the game against the Chicago Bulls, the Pels went on an early run and were able to hold it without much fight for the remaining three-quarters of action.
