The New Orleans Pelicans 2019-20 NBA regular season schedule has been released. Predictions and speculations season officially underway.

Time to start up the hype train! The New Orleans Pelicans are getting a healthy slate of nationally televised games for the upcoming season starting with the season opener against the 2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors. Zion Williamson versus the defending champions will kick off the season. What better way make his NBA with the New Orleans Pelicans.

November 27th will be the return of Anthony Davis to the Smoothie King Center when the Los Angeles Lakers come to town and we will see the past versus the future in a huge clash. It won’t just be seeing how the Pelicans stack against the Lakers. It is also Zion versus Anthony Davis but also Zion versus LeBron, along with the former Lakers against their old team. That will gauge how the New Orleans Pelicans stack up against one of the betting odds title favorites. It will also be a huge game for the city of New Orleans and all of the fans in attendance.

With those big games early on, fans of the Pelicans will be treated to a Christmas Day visit to Denver to take on the Nuggets as one of the Christmas Day games slated. Family, togetherness, presents, and New Orleans Pelicans basketball: The perfect holiday combination.

Now the real discussion will come to division play and how well we have improved against our rivals. The Southwest division has been a two-headed giant battle between the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets since the 2010-11 season with the Dallas Mavericks(2011) and San Antonio Spurs(2014) winning the NBA Finals in that span. With an always surging Spurs team that wins no matter what, an offensive juggernaut in the Rockets,  a resurging and promising Dallas Mavericks on the rise, and a rebuilding Memphis Grizzlies team we should evaluate what we should expect against our division.
