The Denver Nuggets young core will contend for years to come.

#2 Denver Nuggets

Halloween get your spooky self over here so we can have a strong Western Conference showdown! The Denver Nuggets surprised a lot of people during the 2018-19 season finishing second in the conference standings (54-28) and going through two seven series with the series win against San Antonio and losing to Portland.

The next big game between these two will be a joyous Christmas Day trip to the Mile High City to hopefully deliver the Nuggets a Christmas loss. Wrapping up the 3 game season bout close to the end of the January in New Orleans will be enough to see where this Pelicans team stacks up to one of the Western Conference bests.

A young team with a lot of promise that continues to grow under head coach Mike Malone that will be a darkhorse NBA Finals choice and definitely shouldn’t be overlooked. Sporting a true star in Nikola Jokic, growing star Jamal Murray, a post mate in Mason Plumlee, and hopefully a fully healed Michael Porter Jr the Denver Nuggets will be a very tough team to beat as they ranked 6th in opponent points per game in 2018-19.

With a year of growth and second-round playoff experience, if everything goes correctly the Nuggets will expect nothing less than making the second round at minimum but will be aiming for the Western Conference Finals or NBA Finals.
