Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Rising

Instant reactions seemed to feel that Nickeil Alexander-Walker went a bit too high at 17 in this year’s draft, but after an impressive showing for the Pelicans in his first summer league, NBA experts are already coming around on the idea that he may be a steal.

NAW was seen by many as one of the top 5 players in the 2019 NBA Summer League, and that’s after his NBA career was delayed a bit as the Anthony Davis trade (and it’s subsequent moves) drug on. Expect Alexander-Walker to keep rising in the eyes of his teammates and competition this year, too.

Lonzo Ball: Hungry

For too long, the noise around Lonzo Ball hasn’t even had that much to do with Lonzo Ball. The conversation went from being dominated by his larger-than-life dad to one of the only personalities bigger than Lavar’s: LeBron James.

Now, Lonzo is on a new team, and one that appears to cater to every one of his strengths. Look for Ball to come out hungry to prove what he can do this season.
