Riding a six-game losing streak into the night, the fourteenth-place New Orleans Pelicans are looking to get back on track on Thursday Night.

It’s been a rough couple of weeks for New Orleans Pelicans fans. Two weeks ago, the team picked up their fourth win in five games against the Phoenix Suns, only to get crushed by the elites of the Western Conference in the six games that followed.

Hoping to get right on friendly soil against an opponent they’ve already toppled on the road, the Pelicans will host Phoenix tonight in the Big Easy.

Tonight’s game is set for a 7 p.m. CT tip-off from New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center.

After a rough performance on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks, where the Pelicans jumped to an early lead only to allow Luka Dončić to scored 36 points with 18 rebounds in just three quarters as his team ran to a 118-97 lead.

To put it in simple terms, the Pelicans can’t afford another embarrassing loss tonight against Phoenix.

Needing a victory to start climbing up from their 6-15 start and 14th-place standing in the West, the New Orleans Pelicans need their shotmakers to step up again.

Last time out against the Phoenix Suns, the New Orleans Pelicans snuck away with a 124-121 victory in what was an ugly defensive night for all in attendance. Brandon Ingram posted a great 28 point, 8 rebound, 5 assist performance as the team held Devin Booker to just 19 points.

Two others who were sharp last time out against the Suns were J.J. Redick, who had 26 points and crushed the Suns from three, and Jrue Holiday, who held Booker in check while scoring 23 points with 9 assists.

Helping their cause, it seems the team will have their secret weapon back on the floor against the Suns. Kenrich Williams has given the Pelicans immense two-way edge, starting 11 games and playing in the first 19 of the season. They’ll be happy to have him back in the fold tonight.
