Wednesday, March 4th – New Orleans Pelicans @ Dallas Mavericks

In an attempt not to get swept on the season series in addition to trying to gain some ground on the final seed of the playoffs, the New Orleans Pelicans have a final chance on their 2019-2020 campaign to knock-off the Dallas Mavericks.

This game does fall in a tricky spot for the Pelicans, as it’ll be their fifth game in seven days, including being on the end of a back-to-back after a meeting with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Struggling to keep up with the Mavericks in all prior meetings this season, having Zion on the floor will be a great way to try to avenge those losses while setting up for future meetings between the two bright future teams.

Currently, the Mavericks are 33-22 and in seventh place in the Western Conference, mostly solidifying what’s been a worthy playoff campaign despite having some bad injury luck that’s even knocked Dwight Powell out for the season.

However, the reason I picked this game over any other factor is the chance to watch Zion battle against Luka Dončić, as the two have the chance to develop one of the rivalries of the generation if they can stay healthy.

Both containing a lot of exciting players and assets that could make their futures even brighter, the Pelicans need to find a way to win in Dallas to star getting some legs under their rivalry.
