Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Utah Jazz. player. Point Guard / Alabama. Kira Lewis Jr.. 22. 118

With Mike Conley Jr. missing time with injury and averaging career lows in just about everything, it is time for the Utah Jazz to find their point guard of the future.

Kira Lewis Jr. certainly has some glaring weaknesses to his game, he turns the ball over too much and shoots just 45.8 percent from the field overall. His also rail thin and doesn’t project as much of a defender at the next level.

What Lewis Jr. does add is blazing speed and he and star shooting guard Donavon Mitchell would form one of the most exciting and athletic backcourts in the league.

Lewis Jr. would benefit from playing a year behind Conley Jr. who can show him the ropes and hopefully get him to cut down on the turnovers.

Lewis Jr. is still just 18 and has time to develop, so it will come down to whether the Utah Jazz feel he is worth the wait or that they need to act now to surround Mitchell with talent that is ready to win.

Utah could very well end up trading this pick if they decide to make a big splash in the offseason to appease Mitchell, whose free agency is lingering.
