Power Forward / Olympiacos B (Greece). Aleksej Pokuševski. player. 29. 20. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the top teams in the NBA, but they are old and desperately need an injection of youth.

Aleksej Pokusevski is a crafty 7-footer who is a good passer and projects as a potential stretch four or even five. He is only shooting 30.6 percent from 3-point range but has a nice stroke and could eventually be the type of 7-footer the league is trending towards.

At just 18 years old, Pokuseveski is not likely to come into the NBA and play right away, especially considering his thin frame and overall physical weakness.

He will not be a great on the ball defender, especially in the post, but he does block 1.6 shots per game, and has potential as an off the ball defender and shot blocker.

The Lakers are not likely to rely on the draft much as they try to win now with Anthony Davis and LeBron James, but with few future draft picks after trading them all away to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Lakers need to add some youth, even if it is only to stash him in the G-League.
