Pick Analysis. Isaac Okoro. player. 142. Scouting Report. Small Forward / Auburn. Washington Wizards. 10

The Washington Wizards are in one of the toughest salary cap situations in the league and their pick will likely have a lot of “ifs” attached to it.

If the Wizards expect John Wall to come back healthy then they have a solid foundation with him and Bradley Beal in the backcourt.

If the Wizards think Wall may not make it back to 100 percent then they could easily trade Beal (maybe to a team like the New Orleans Pelicans) for a treasure trove of assets that they can use to start a rebuild.

With the possibility of Davis Bertans leaving in free agency (again, possibly to a team like the New Orleans Pelicans), the Wizards may try to restock their wing position to pair with ascending power forward Rui Hachimura.

Isaac Okoro could be that guy.

Isaac Okoro won’t help much on offense but he projects as a potentially elite defender and is a nice fit beside Wall and Beal.

Okoro already has an NBA frame and can guard multiple positions on the wing. He is also a smart player with a winning attitude.

As Okoro continues to fill out and put on muscle, he could potentially guard positions one through four in the NBA, which should make him appealing to Washington, who lacks talent at the wing.

It’s hard to say what the Wizards will end up doing, as they are in one of the worst salary cap situations in the league.
