#6: Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart, Boston Celtics

Kemba Walker toiled in obscurity in Charlotte for most of his career, so many NBA fans are not even aware how good he is.

Walker finally got his recognition when he came to the Celtics, making his first All-NBA team, an award that was long overdue.

While Boston is known for their versatile young wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, it is the backcourt of Walker and Smart that makes this team go.

Though Walker’s scoring has dropped a bit since last year, he is still averaging 21.2 points and 4.9 assists, while playing fewer minutes.

Walker is a floor general, leader and one of the most clutch players in the NBA.

Marcus Smart is a guard whose numbers are not going to jump off the page, but he does all of the things a winning team needs.

He is an elite defender, has a high basketball I.Q. and simply makes plays.

Smart is averaging a career-high 13.5 points per game while adding 4.8 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals.

The Celtics were in the third seed heading into the hiatus and Smart is a big reason why.

Casual fans around the league may dismiss these two, but Walker and Smart are winning players who make winning plays, which is why they land so high on this list.
