Fans looking to stay in touch with the New Orleans Pelicans can now get interactive content every day of the week.

It has now been 31 days since the New Orleans Pelicans played a basketball game, which in NBA years feels more like 31 years.

The NBA has had a 2K competition, is talking about a league-wide H.O.R.S.E. tournament and is even re-running old games.

Remember this hardcourt classic? It seems like a lifetime ago.

Fans are so desperate for some hoops that they are actually watching players play video games on Twitch.

I’m not there yet, but for us hoop junkies, this has been a tough time.

Obviously there are far more important things than sports during a national crisis, but normally sports are something we use to get a break from the sometimes-harsh realities of the world.

That is why the New Orleans Pelicans teamed up with the New Orleans Saints to put out #HomeTeamTV, which is a way for fans to get some hoops content and stay in contact with their favorite teams.

The series will feature daily content that includes everything from mental and physical health exercise to cooking tips and dance lessons.

Here is the weekly schedule according to Pelicans.com:

"Mental Health Mondays sponsored by Ochsner promotes how fans can learn how mental health experts or Pelicans players handle stress, while they also share some of their stress relief strategies.Turnt-Up Tuesdays sponsored by Red Bull will be a TikTok video of Pelicans hype team, dance team and cheerleaders teaching fun and quick dance lessons.Wildcard Wednesdays sponsored by Entergy is a rotating schedule of creative and unique content comprised of cooking, games, activities, etc.Take-out Thursdays sponsored by Sprite promotes supporting local businesses and ordering take-out.Fitness Fridays sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield provides fans with exercise videos that can be completed at home and are fun for all ages."

The first installment was a slightly cheesy, slightly off-key (sorry Irma) song about how much we are all missing the New Orleans Pelicans.

It featured local New Orleans musicians and players, as well as an important message to “stay the **** inside.”

As a huge fan of Tank and the Bangas, I was happy to see Tarriona “Tank” Ball make a cameo (shout out to the Sugar Club in Dublin).

As goofy as the the video was, the final music piece was poignant and drove home how much we are all missing the New Orleans Pelicans and New Orleans culture in general.

We at Pelican Debrief are committed to bringing you coverage of the New Orleans Pelicans during the hiatus.

Thanks for your continued support, and please listen to the great Swin Cash and stay the heck inside!
