The Chicago Bulls are turning over their front office and the New Orleans Pelicans could be buyers if the organization opts to renovate their roster.

Much like the frustrated New Orleans Pelicans organization a season ago, the Chicago Bulls are making major changes to their front office after failing to reach up to expectations in recent seasons.

Though the club hasn’t made it official yet, highly-credible sources from around the league indicate that Arturas Karnisovas, the Denver Nuggets executive credited with targeting Nikola Jokić in the 2014 NBA Draft, will become the Vice President of Basketball Operations in Chicago.

Upon his joining of the organization, where he’ll reportedly be granted full autonomy on basketball decisions, some are wondering if Karnisovas could be interested in totally redesigning his new Bulls roster.

Chicago’s roster is currently a mixed bunch of interesting players that look like they’re playing with t-shirts that fit too tight in their current roles. The Bulls could certainly be interested in revamping their roster’s structure or at least reload their vault of draft assets.

Heading into the future, the New Orleans Pelicans have a huge stockpile of draft assets that could be easily swapped without handicapping the organization for the future.

On the other hand, the Bulls currently own only their own first-round picks and won’t pick more than once in any second round in the next five years.

Last time these two front offices linked up for a deal, the Bulls sent Nikola Mirotic and a second-round pick swap in 2021 to New Orleans in exchange for their 2018 First Round Pick, Jameer Nelson, Omer Asik, and Tony Allen; that was an exchange between two past front offices.
