Number 5

Derrick Favors and Zion Williamson

Seeing these two together this high on the list was surprising to me. Just recently I wrote the Pelicans should trade for a new center who could better maximize Zion’s impact on the game. In 19 games this duo put up a +115 rating, while playing the least minutes together of the entire list (311.4).

Number 4

Jrue Holiday and Zion Williamson

The leader of the team and the face of the young generation in the NBA, it’s good to see these two showing up high on this list. In 19 games and 424.6 minutes they combined for a +123 net rating.

Number 3

Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson

Seeing these two place third on the list is very encouraging for the growth of this team, and shows the impact both of these young players made in their first year in New Orleans. In 19 games and 436.5 minutes they posted a +144 net rating (keep the Zo to Zion lobs coming). This could end up being the most exciting duo in the NBA as early as next season.
