New Orleans Pelicans: Lonzo Ball’s Weight Lifting Form is Plain Awful
The New Orleans Pelicans want their players in the weight room during the hiatus, but Lonzo Ball needs some real work on his form.
The New Orleans Pelicans should get on the phone with Lonzo Ball and tell him his weight lifting form is plain awful.
Anyone who played high school sports, or has visited a weight room has seen the snarling show off pumping weight and admiring himself in the mirror.
The problem is the guy usually has no clue what he is doing, but man, does he look good with his shirt off!
It is a fixture of weight rooms anywhere, where men (it’s always men) whose biceps are often bigger than their brains try to lift too much weight or do it in a way that could cause serious injury.
Such was the case in Lonzo Ball‘s recent workout video.
Twitter had plenty say about the Pelicans’ star and pretty much all of them agreed that his form needs some serious work.
The shoulder presses Lonzo does in this video are particularly bad, as he jerks with his lower back, doesn’t complete his reps and generally seems to need a real trainer in the room.
Lonzo Ball has a real chance to make another leap for the New Orleans Pelicans next season, especially if he can put on some additional strength, but it won’t matter if he is injured with a herniated disc in his back or a bum shoulder.
Lonzo Ball can already bully smaller players and adding additional strength will help him finish at the rim more successully. Added muscle will also help on the defensive end, as Lonzo Ball tries to fight his way through screens and defend bigger players.
Players have been releasing all types of content during the hiatus and Lonzo Ball is not the first member of the New Orleans Pelicans who has a video he probably wishes he could take back.
The New Orleans Pelicans hope Lonzo Ball’s form improves so that he is not only stronger but healthy when the season finally resumes.
