The New Orleans Pelicans have been busy during the hiatus.

J.J. Redick has been doing podcasts and interviews, Zion Williamson is breaking down film and both he and Brandon Ingram have been helping the people of New Orleans.

If you are not aware, Lonzo Ball is an aspiring rapper who already has an album “Born 2 Ball” and a handful of singles under his belt.

As a big fan of hip hop, I was skeptical to say the least, but Lonzo Ball’s album isn’t bad. It actually offers some insight into what it is like to be Lonzo and have a dad like LaVar. In short, I didn’t hate it and will listen to the new one.

Rumor has it that Lonzo is working with DJ Akademiks, who has gained notoriety and controversy for working with Teka$hi69 and having a string of beefs with other rappers including Eminem.

Lonzo Ball’s first album came out in 2017 and a lot has happened since then, so it will be interesting to see if ‘Zo has any tracks about his time on the New Orleans Pelicans.

If you’re going to cut an album, now is the time to do it, as players were only recently allowed back into practice facilities and still can’t work out with their teammates.

Lonzo Ball and the New Orleans Pelicans aren’t wasting their down time and it won’t be long before we get to see and hear the fruits of their labor.
