The New Orleans Pelicans’ bench plays well again in win over Bucks.

The Pelicans are Good and They are Deep

Yes, it is just a scrimmage, but the Pelicans’ bench once again played well. NAW and Josh Hart were aggressive taking it to the hoop, Frank Jackson provided a spark and knocked down some shots and Jaxson Hayes ran the floor well.

Not all of these guys are going to play when things get real, but Alvin Gentry has a lot of different combinations to work with and a lot of guys who can contribute in different ways.

The Pels’ rotation was a little tighter before Gentry emptied the deep bench in the fourth quarter, but the Bucks had their starters in the game well into the fourth and the Pelicans were still having their way.

Kenrich Williams hadn’t played until the fourth, but came in and defended Giannis, took a charge and showed how he might be valuable in small bursts in the real games.

We’ll have more on the Pelicans’ rotations in the next couple of days, but if these scrimmages showed us anything, it’s that New Orleans has a lot to be excited about.

They played well in all three games, got valuable reps for their young guys and good work for the regulars.

Some credit has to go to the coach.
