New Orleans Pelicans: Player Grades for the small forwards.

Small Forwards

C. . Small Forward. New Orleans Pelicans. JOSH HART

Josh Hart shot the ball poorly in the last two games, though he did rebound the ball well. Hart is ultimately a little undersized to play small forward and it would be nice for the Pelicans to get a wing or two so he could move back to shooting guard where he is more effective.

Hart shot just one for eight for three points in this one, grabbed ten boards and led the team in minutes.

Hart is a restricted free agent after next year and the Pelicans will have a tough call to make, as he has played well for them but might be due for a big raise if someone sees starter potential in him.

Small Forward. New Orleans Pelicans. KENRICH WILLIAMS. C+.

A lot of people were calling for Williams to get some run after the Pelicans failed to stop anyone in the first few games.

Everyone likes Williams’ hustle, but other than that, I’m not sure what he does on the basketball court other than run around like a maniac.

He often makes really nice cuts to the hoop but has no idea how to finish or what to do with the ball once he gets it.

He did play some effective defense on Bogdan Bogdanovic and there is an argument that he should have gotten a chance against him in the game that mattered considering no one else was even slowing Bog’s down.

Williams is another tweener who probably doesn’t have a future with the New Orleans Pelicans, as they must get better on the wing.
