The New Orleans Pelicans will choose 13th in the 2020 NBA Draft.

The New Orleans Pelicans were hoping for more lottery miracles, but didn’t move up from their position in the NBA Draft Lottery.

This is shaping up to be the wildest draft in NBA history, as teams didn’t get the benefit of watching players finish their seasons or have any kind of postseason play.

Scouting has been affected and there is absolutely no consensus about who the top player is, never mind the top-five.

This is a draft where the best player might come out of the top-ten, so the Pelicans still have a chance to add impact talent.

The New Orleans Pelicans have a lot of options with the 13th Pick in the NBA Draft.

The Pelicans already have a lot of young talent, and with such a wide open draft, options abound for how they might use the 13th pick.

Of course they can just take a guy they like. The big boards are going to be wildly different for every team and the guy they want might still be there at 13.

The Pelicans might also decide that they have enough young talent already and can make the leap into contention by adding an impact veteran in a trade. The 13th pick could be used as part of a package.

David Griffin and Trajon Langdon will surely be scouring the league for teams that want a pick and have an asset to give up for it.

Another option would be to try and move up in the draft. The Golden State Warriors’ pick is going to get a lot of action, as they are looking to add talent and win now, not add a draft pick.

The Pelicans could be players, as they have as many assets as anyone and may decide there is someone they really like at number two.

The Pelicans know where they will pick, now it’s time to find out what they can do with it.
