New Orleans Pelicans: How to watch the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery
The New Orleans Pelicans are dusting off their lucky charms for the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery.
Lottery day is finally here and the New Orleans Pelicans have their ticket.
Last year the Pelicans bucked the odds and walked away with biggest prize, the number one pick that led to rookie Zion Williamson.
The Pelicans are hoping the Lottery Gods are kind again tonight, as getting a top pick in this draft would give them a lot of options.
They could convey it, and hope to add young and impact talent to an already young and talented roster, or they could trade the pick, grab an asset and improve their veteran depth.
What are the New Orleans Pelicans Lottery Odds?
The Pelicans head into the lottery with the 13th worst record in the league, so their chances of grabbing the number one pick are small.
They have just a 1.2% chance of repeating their magic from last year, though unlike last year, there isn’t a consensus number one pick.
The Pelicans will have a 5.7% chance to leap into the top four, which is still small, but not much different from last year.
Can the Pelicans do it again?
What Time is the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery?
The NBA Draft Lottery will take place at 8:30 PM ET just after the Bucks/Magic game is over. The NBA obviously scheduled the lottery in prime time as a bridge between the two most popular games of the day.
It’s going to be a long day of waiting for all of the lottery teams. The New Orleans Pelicans will be represented by GM Trajon Langdon.
How to watch the NBA Draft Lottery
The NBA Draft Lottery will be broadcast live on ESPN and on the ESPN app, but there are other ways to watch it if you don’t have cable TV.
You can stream the lottery on Fubo TV which is an option for those who have cut the cable.
The New Orleans Pelicans are prepping their rabbit’s feet and hope they can get lucky again in the NBA Draft Lottery.
The NBA Draft will be held on October 16th and with some luck, the Pels will be choosing at the top of it.
