Post Lottery Mock Draft: The New Orleans Pelicans Get Big Wing at 13
2020 NBA Mock Draft: Picks #23 and 24
With Mike Conley Jr. missing time with injury and averaging career lows in just about everything, it is time for the Utah Jazz to find their point guard of the future.
Kira Lewis Jr. certainly has some glaring weaknesses to his game, he turns the ball over too much and shoots just 45.8 percent from the field overall. His also rail thin and doesn’t project as much of a defender at the next level.
What Lewis Jr. does add is blazing speed and he and star shooting guard Donavon Mitchell would form one of the most exciting and athletic backcourts in the league.
Lewis Jr. would benefit from playing a year behind Conley Jr. who can show him the ropes and hopefully get him to cut down on the turnovers.
The Bucks don’t have a true point guard, and Nico Mannion profiles as a guy who would fit.
He can run the offense, is a savvy player and can shoot the 3-pointer. The Bucks need someone to take some of the ball handling duties off of Giannis Anteteokounmpo, set up their shooters and knock down open shots.
Mannion can do this and he is no slouch on defense either, so he’d fit in with the Bucks’ organizational philosophy.
