20. THEO MALEDON / GUARD / ASVEL (FRANCE)

Kicking off my top-20 for the 2020 NBA Draft comes french point guard Theo Maledon. Maledon is a bigger point guard at 6’4″ who is known for his shooting prowess and passing abilities. He has a true knack for running the pick-and-roll while his size gives him strong defensive potential. Ultimately his limited speed might hold him back from being a franchise guard but the ability is there for him to be a quality starter in the NBA.

Pro Comparisons: Dejounte Murray minus speed, Shai Gilegous-Alexander, Frank Nitilikina

19. RJ HAMPTON / GUARD-WING / NEW ZEALAND BREAKERS (NBL)

Coming in as the 19th ranked prospect in the 2020 NBA Draft is RJ Hampton. One of the top prospects coming into the year, Hampton fell because he showed that his game was still very raw playing in the NBL. What Hampton has going for him though is a jumbo size at 6’5″ that pairs well with his speed and playmaking ability. If he can improve his outside shooting and defense he has the potential to be a high-level starter at his position.

Pro Comparisons: Will Barton, Dante Exum, Taller Jamal Murray

18. COLE ANTHONY / GUARD / NORTH CAROLINA

Another prospect who’s potential has given higher rankings by others in the 2020 NBA Draft, Cole Anthony comes in at number 18 on my board. After being considered as top 3 pick before the season, injuries and inconsistent play have dropped Cole Anthony. What he has going for him though is potential as a lethal scoring guard. His athleticism and speed make it so he can get anywhere he wants on the floor and he has an impressive array of shot-making skills in his bag. Improving as a playmaker and efficiency will determine if Anthony becomes a starter or just a sixth-man.

Pro Comparisons: Kemba Walker, Collin Sexton, Mo Williams, Derek Fisher
