2020 NBA Mock Draft with Trades: #4-Chicago Bulls

This trade makes a lot of sense for both teams. The Magic get to infuse a young point guard talent onto their roster to replace D.J. Augustin, who is likely to leave via free agency.

The Bulls get a talented forward to add to their roster, which would make them a lot more interesting, athletic and a possible playoff team in the East if things broke right.

The Bulls would love to add LaMelo Ball, but barring a trade with Golden State, they are unlikely to get him. With no clear options left on the board, the Bulls will definitely be shopping this pick.

Orlando gets an expiring deal, the number four pick and some future cap space, while the Bulls get a chance to audition Aaron Gordon to see if he is a long-term fit. Gordon’s contract actually goes down the following year, so he is not a catastrophic cap hit and could be one of the more valuable contracts in the league.

Teams are not likely to get the return on these top picks that they would have in the past, so if they want to pick up assets, they are going to carry some amount of risk.
