2020 NBA Mock Draft with Trades: #6- Atlanta Hawks

Deni Avdija. 125. Pick Analysis. Small Forward. Atlanta Hawks. 6. player. Scouting Report

The Hawks would be another team that could potentially trade in this draft, especially if all the top point guards are off the board.

Atlanta has some good young talent to build around in Trae Young, John Collins and De’Andre Hunter, but need to add more playmaking.

They’d probably love to add Killian Hayes or Tyrese Haliburton, but may end up getting one of the better playmakers anyway in Deni Avdija.

Avdija is a point forward and already a gifted playmaker. He has size and could take some of the playmaking responsibilities off Young.

There are some worries about his shot, but those have largely been put to rest and Avdija has risen as much as anyone on draft boards post-lottery.

The Hawks would have a really nice young core, a couple of potential All-Stars and a chance to make the leap into the Eastern Conference playoffs.
