2020 NBA Mock Draft with Trades: #8- Golden State Warriors

After trading with the Knicks, the Golden State Warriors could still end up with the best player in the draft in Obi Toppin.

Toppin is a high motor forward who is athletic, runs the floor and can shoot the 3-pointer. Not only does he fit on Golden State, but might give them the opportunity to trade Andrew Wiggins, who is their most likely trade piece in a big deal.

If the Warriors got Toppin, they could potentially then flip Wiggins for another big piece to add to their Big 3 of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

The Warriors will almost certainly be dealing on draft day and it’s possible that they could trade this pick as well if there is another team willing to offer a ready-made asset in exchange.

Toppin is one of the few guys who should be able to contribute in his first season, so the Warriors can add impact talent, still get a young player and be right back in the mix in the Western Conference.

This could be a huge draft for Golden State if things break right.
