New Orleans Pelicans: Josh Hart could win Sixth Man of the Year

Sixth Man of the Year: Josh Hart

Could next season finally be the one when someone other than the Clippers wins this one?

Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are the top two for this award, but Williams is getting up there in age and Harrell may not be a sixth man next season, so the award should be more open for competition.

There are a lot of good bench players in the league, so Hart would have to have an outstanding season to even be noticed. He is already one of the best rebounding guards in the game, ranking 6th in the NBA against guys who are all starters.

Hart averages double digits in scoring, but would probably have to jump up to around 15 points a game to get into consideration.

With his rebounding and defense, Hart could get there, especially in a contract season when he is playing for a potentially huge pay day.

If Hart improves his 3-point shooting, scores a few more points a game and keeps up his elite rebounding, he’ll have a solid chance at this award next season.
