New Orleans Pelicans International Prospects: Paul Eboua

Paul Eboua- Consultinvest VL Pesaro

Paul Eboua profiles as a guy the New Orleans Pelicans need.

He is a 6-foot-8 forward with a huge wingspan who has a high motor, runs the floor and isn’t afraid of contact.

Eboua is originally from Cameroon, but has been playing in Italy, where he averaged 7.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in around 21 minutes per game.

Eboua is a great athlete, can run the floor and has the frame and strength to be a force on the offensive glass, grabbing 2.6 per game.

But his offensive game is not just raw, it’s non-existent, as Eboua doesn’t have much of a shot and can’t handle the ball or create space.

He is a junkyard dog who will get all of his points off put backs and run outs. He’ll dive all over the floor and win plays with his energy.

Someone will take a chance on Eboua’s physical traits in the second round, but he may need another year overseas before he is ready to contribute in any meaningful way. The Pels will need energy/defense guys to go along with all their talented scorers, so Eboua is worth a look.
