25. JAHMI’US RAMSEY / GUARD-WING / TEXAS TECH

Biggest Selling Point: 3 Point Shooting & Defensive Effort

Another player in the gritty mold, Jahmi’us Ramsey comes from playing under the intense Chris Beard at Texas Tech. Ramsey’s game is all about being a two-way player on the wing and that’s how he’ll get minutes when he first enters the NBA. A 43 percent shooter from 3 point range during his freshman year, Ramsey is a catch-and-shoot threat that doesn’t need many looks to get going. Through him out on defense and he’ll put all his effort into playing within a defensive scheme. He’s ready to walk out of the 2020 NBA Draft and right into a rotation because of those skills.

24. TYLER BEY / WING / COLORADO

Biggest Selling Point: Positional Versatility

If a team is looking for the next “Swiss Army Knife” type of player then Tyler Bey will be on their shortlist in the 2020 NBA Draft. Bey is a unique player defensively and that will buy him his minutes at the start of his NBA career. He can play any position in the frontcourt and guard them at a high level. Both advanced metrics and the eye test tell you that Bey is one of the best defenders in the entire class. He will perfect being plugged into a rotation.

23. RJ HAMPTON / GUARD-WING / NEW ZELAND BREAKERS (NBL)

Biggest Selling Point: Athletic Playmaking

The first of a few shake-ups in this big board, RJ Hampton gets ranked much lower as an NBA ready talent. He still makes it to 23 in this edition of the 2020 NBA Draft Big Board because of the plays he can make with his athletism. Athletic abilities historically translate to the NBA so that is how Hampton will make his living to start in the league. This talent might take shape in being an energy player off the bench. Hampton can use his athleticism to score or draw defenders to him to make clean passes.

22. ROBERT WOODARD III / WING-BIG / MISSISSIPPI STATE

Biggest Selling Point: Positional Versatility

Another versatile forward in the 2020 NBA Draft, this time we’re talking about Mississippi State’s Robert Woodard III. Woodard is built like a tank. He stands at only 6’7″ but the 230lbs frame he brings with it allows him to play any frontcourt spot. He plays with power, using his body to get into the paint or to get right into the opposing player’s jersey. He adds hustle and grit to his versatility. He’s the type of player that coaches in the NBA love and that’ll grant him big minutes in his rookie season.

21. KILLIAN HAYES / GUARD / ULM (FRANCE)

Biggest Selling Point: Pick-and-Roll Playmaking

Just outside the top 20 comes international prospect Killian Hayes. In a draft class that’s stacked with point guards, he stands out because of his prowess in the pick-and-roll. In France, the pick-and-roll is used heavily but in a very different way then it is in the United States. European basketball institutes pick-and-roll packages that are exotic and Hayes proves he can run all of them. In the NBA where the pick-and-roll is still the most commonly run play that gives Hayes value. He can walk into any team and play as a playmaking rotation guard.
