8. OBI TOPPIN / BIG / DAYTON

Biggest Selling Point: Inside-Outside Scoring

The reigning Wooden Award winner for best player in the NCAA, Dayton’s Obi Toppin has risen to the 8th spot on this board. Toppin is the smoothest big man in the entire draft and his inside-outside scoring ability will be his calling card entering the NBA. In transition, Toppin is a strong rim runner, then in halfcourt offense, Toppin can move to the perimeter to shoot from deep. Add in the dexterity he has to finish in close and Toppin is an NBA ready big.

7. TYRESE HALIBURTON / GUARD / IOWA STATE

Biggest Selling Point: Steady Playmaking

Tyrese Haliburton rose up the board during his sophomore season because he broke out and showed the world he’s one of the most consistent passers in the country. That’s what Haliburton will do in the NBA. He’ll initiate a team’s offense, move through screens, drive and kick, pass with one hand, pass out of mid-air. You name it and Haliburton will do it.
