The latest New Orleans Pelicans’ rumor didn’t go over well with Spencer Dinwiddie.
The New Orleans Pelicans have been involved in just about every trade rumor and most of them involve Jrue Holiday.
He has been sent to Denver, Indiana and the Warriors in hypothetical trades that generally anger one or both of the fan bases.
The players don’t usually have much to say about rumors, as they are just that, rumors. Most of the time the people speaking don’t have much more than a “team insider” to go off of and players tend to ignore the buzz.
That was not the case yesterday, when an unsubstantiated rumor came out and Nets’ guard Spencer Dinwiddie couldn’t hold back.

New Orleans Pelicans: Rumor has Jrue Holiday going to Nets for trio of players.
The rumor that upset Dinwiddie was a proposed trade for Jrue Holiday.
The trade would send Holiday to the Nets for Jarrett Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie, Džanan Musa and a protected 1st round pick.
This would be a decent haul for Jrue Holiday, as it would fill the Pelicans’ backup point guard need, give them their starting center in Allen, a 21-year-old forward prospect in Musa and a first round pick.
Some believe the Pelicans can get more for Jrue Holiday, and there might be other offers they like better, but this is a pretty fair package for a 30-year-old making $27 million a year.
The Pels could fill a lot of their holes without taking on a big contract, and Dinwiddie and Allen could be nice fits next to Zion Williamson and company.
However, with teams like the Warriors potentially interested as well, New Orleans may be able to start a bidding war that increases the return they get for Holiday if they do decide to trade him.
The New Orleans Pelicans have a lot to think about this offseason, and David Griffin has some tough decisions to make, none bigger than what to do with Jrue Holiday.
