New Orleans Pelicans NBA Draft: 2 Players Worth Moving Up to Get
The New Orleans Pelicans could use their bevy of picks to move up in the 2020 NBA Draft.
The New Orleans Pelicans have a lot of options on draft night and they are sure to be busy.
With four trades overall, the Pelicans could definitely be players if they wanted to make a splashy trade or even move up in the draft.
They have three picks in the second round, and may be able to use them to move up into the late first round if there is a guy there that they really like.
The Pelicans have picks 39, 42 and 60, which won’t be hugely valuable, but packaging two or more of them may be better than just choosing all three, as none are likely to make the team anyway.
If there is someone who happens to fall into the late first, the Pels should jump at the opportunity, as there is a history of late first round guys being producers.
Guys like Brandon Clarke, Darius Bazley and Kevin Porter were all taken at the back end of the first round last year and all ended up contributing.
There are a couple of guys predicted to go late in the first round who might be able to help the Pelicans if they could move up to get them.
These are probably not players worth taking a risk with the 13th pick, as the Pelicans need to walk away from this draft with some more reliable talent, but a late first rounder? Done.
Here are two guys the New Orleans Pelicans could package their picks to move up for in the 2020 NBA Draft.
