Be the GM: New Orleans Pelicans select Aleksej Pokusevski with the 13th pick

Aleksej Pokusevski

This pick shows that you think out of the box and are willing to take risks, I like it!

Pokusevski is one of the most controversial players in the draft and has been mocked everywhere from the top-ten to the second round.

He is a seven-foot playmaker who is very skinny but has some Nikola Jokic potential as a stretch-five.

He can already handle the ball and make plays, which would make him a potentially lethal pick-and-roll combination with Zion.

Here is your rotation with Pokusevski:

PG: Lonzo Ball

SG: Jrue Holiday/J.J. Redick

SF: Brandon Ingram/Josh Hart

PF: Zion Williamson/Nicolo Melli

C: Jaxson Hayes/Aleksej Pokusevski

This team would be intriguing offensively, but potentially a disaster on defense, as they’d have no size or strength in the paint.

This is a move you make if you want to take a risk on the league’s next unicorn, as Pokusevski could be the next superstar foreign-born player in the NBA.

With he and Zion you have two of the most unique players in the NBA and a roster unlike anyone else’s.
