Be the GM: Guide the New Orleans Pelicans Through the 2020 NBA Draft
New Orleans Pelicans: A trade with the Phoenix Suns for the #10 NBA Draft Pick
The Suns shocked everyone when they went undefeated in the bubble and came very close to sneaking into the playoffs.
Both Portland and Memphis are probably lucky, as Phoenix was red hot and no one wanted to play them. This may encourage the Suns to make a bold move in the offseason to put more talent around Devin Booker, who has proven himself to be a superstar.
The Suns need more shooting and the Pelicans need more size, so there might be a deal here, especially if the Suns want to go all-in trying to get into the playoffs.
Essentially the Suns would be trading the 10th pick for Redick, which would definitely be an all-in move on their part, though the 10th pick in this draft isn’t as valuable as others due to the lack of star power and all the uknowns.
I’m not sure anyone would give up a lottery pick for Redick, and I am also certain the Pels value Redick more than this pick, but this is a hypothetical, so let’s roll with it.
The Pelicans now have the 10th and 13th picks, which they could package for a player of their own or use to add young talent around their core.
