Be the GM: New Orleans Pelicans trade with Phoenix Suns

Trading for the #10 Pick

Congrats! You have turned Redick’s expiring contract into the 10th pick in the NBA draft, well done. This is probably about as big a haul as you could expect to get from a guy who is 36-years-old, and you managed to do it without giving up anything else.

You make this move if you are trying to get something for Redick and want to add more young talent around your core. Redick is a luxury for the Pelicans at this point, as the Pelicans are not contenders.

Neither are the Suns, but they might believe they are after their improbable bubble run. You now have two lottery picks in the 2020 NBA Draft, so have a chance to really change the team and have a ton of young talent.

Here are some choices for how to use your two picks.
