The New Orleans Pelicans could look to the Kentucky Wildcats in the NBA Draft.

The New Orleans Pelicans have four picks in the 2020 NBA Draft, and if history tells us anything, they should look to the University of Kentucky.

Kentucky has consistently produced some of the NBA’s best players over the years and even being drafted by John Calipari is enough to turn the heads of NBA scouts.

Here’s just a recent sampling of Kentucky players who have made an impact in the NBA:

2015-Karl-Anthony Towns, Trey Lyles, Devin Booker, Willie Cauley-Stein

2016-Jamal Murray, Skal Labissiere

2017– Bam Adebayo, De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk

2018– Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

2019-Tyler Herro, PJ Washington, Kevin Knox

And those are just the first-rounders! You could build a nice team just out of the guys from Kentucky and that doesn’t even include second-round picks Tyler Ullis and Hamidou Diallo.

Kentucky is an NBA farm team, which is why the New Orleans Pelicans should look their way, especially with their second-round picks.

Only Tyrese Maxey is expected to go in the first round out of Kentucky in this draft but that doesn’t mean there won’t be other players who make an impact.

Immanuel Quickley is a 6-foot-3 guard who is expected to fall to the second round and he could be a steal for the New Orleans Pelicans if he does.

Could Quickley out-perform his draft predictions and prove his 5-star talent in the NBA? Let’s take a look at his strength and weaknesses, as well as how he might fit on the Pelicans.
