New Orleans Pelicans: One trade with every Northwest Division team
New Orleans Pelicans: A trade with the Denver Nuggets
There have been a lot of trade rumors involving the New Orleans Pelicans and Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets are one of the teams rumored to be after Jrue Holiday, which makes sense given their current roster construction.
George Karl threw gas on this rumor by saying the Nuggets were desperate to get Holiday and may even include Michael Porter Jr. to make it happen.
Here’s a trade that could work for both teams.
In this trade, the Nuggets get a defensive guard to pair with Jamal Murray, which would allow him to focus on offense.
Holiday is still a great defender and would take a lot of pressure off Murray on the perimeter.
The Pelicans get Gary Harris, who played well for the Nuggets and would replace some of Holiday’s offense and defense, as well as Michael Porter Jr. a promising wing prospect who could be part of the Pelicans’ core moving forward.
This one makes some sense for both teams, especially if Denver thinks they have a chance to win a title with the Jokic/Murray duo.
The New Orleans Pelicans will have a lot of options this offseason for trades and some of the best potential is in the Northwest division.
