The New Orleans Pelicans could choose some older players in the second round of the NBA Draft.

The New Orleans Pelicans have one of the youngest teams in the NBA, which is why they might look for some older players in the NBA Draft.

This year’s draft will be a wild one, as teams haven’t had a lot of time to scout players and didn’t get to see them play in conference tournaments or March Madness.

This could cause some top talent to fall, which would be good for the Pelicans, but it also might force teams to choose guys who represent less of a risk.

There are a handful of intriguing seniors in this particular draft, guys who might not have the highest ceiling, but can play and might be able to contribute right away instead of being long-term projects.

The second round of the NBA draft is traditionally where teams will either take chances on high ceiling guys with huge red flags, grab a guy who has one potentially elite NBA skill that can be developed or lower ceiling players who can contribute immediately.

Think of a guy like Draymond Green, who was overlooked and fell to the second round mainly because he played four years of college basketball.

This used to be the norm, but now if you are a senior you might as well be 75-years-old to most NBA scouts, who see anyone over 19-years-old as a low ceiling prospect.

Even though most four-year players are not elite prospects, there are always guys like Green, who might take a little longer to get there but eventually can be impact players in the NBA.

There are two players in the 2020 NBA Draft who might fit into this category. Both played all four years in college but are ready to be contributors.
